PR:New generation of SWIR Image Sensor

Since its publication in an internationally renowned academic journal in 2009, LUMIDAR has accumulated rich scientific research achievements and engineering experience in the SWIR field by pioneering the breakthrough of ultra-wide spectral response in organic optoelectronic detector technology. With the official launch of the new imaging chip preparation platform invested and built by the company, the world's first shortwave infrared image sensor LUMIDAR-SW640A, which combines organic semiconductor technology and CMOS process, has successfully achieved mass production. Its excellent imaging performance and stability have received unanimous praise from industry customers.

As we known, InGaAs is currently the mainstream SWIR sensor solution in the market. Due to the difficulty in obtaining raw materials and complex preparation processes making it high cost that difficult to match all the application needs. The LUMIDAR-SW640A from LUMIDAR combines disruptive organic semiconductor technology and CMOS fabrication process, significantly reducing manufacturing costs while ensuring excellent visible-SWIR imaging performance. LUMIDAR-SW640A adopts PGA32 ceramic packaging, which can image in a wide spectrum (0.3~1.7 μ m) with a resolution of 640 * 512, the single pixel size is 15 μm, the quantum efficiency is 60%, and the maximum frame rate is up to 180Hz. Its main performance can cover most of the current applications of shortwave infrared imaging

LUMIDAR-SW640A has below application features: strong penetrability, moisture recognition, material recognition, temperature detection.. The disruptive technology brings outstanding cost advantages, making the product capable of implementing AI vision system solutions in multiple application scenarios, such as silicon wafer defect monitoring, integrated circuit fault analysis, photovoltaic panel hidden crack detection, metal smelting temperature measurement, laser welding monitoring, foreign object screening, plastic sorting, etc.
